Be taken on a journey past some of Perth’s most picturesque parklands. You’ll paddle past Burswood Park with its popular picnic spots and stunning gardens and experience the calm of Claisebrook Cove with its system of streams that flow into the Swan.
Learn the history of the east side of the city and hear about the Heirisson Island nature reserve and its marsupial inhabitants.
We’ll teach you basic paddling techniques and take some actions snaps of you along the way. Its a truly magnificent way to begin your day.

Due to bridge construction the temporary meet spot is near Trinity College. Street parking in Nelson Avenue. If too much construction on the morning of your tour we have the option to explore Elizabeth Quays, meeting in South Perth.

Located at the Royal Street entrance to Victoria Gardens near the Claisebrook Footbridge. We recommend going there prior to coming down the hill to the meet location. There are also Toilets in Queens Gardens on Nelson Avenue Crescent. Toilets open at 7.00 am
We can provide you with water proof bags to keep any belongings dry. The kayaks have water proof hatche

By Bus - from Perth City - catch the free Red CAT, disembark at Nelson Crescent just near the Hale Street. The public toilets are close by and we suggest you visit them before walking around to the Nelson Avenue meet spot. From the bus stop to the meet spot is 500 meters
By Foot - From Burswood Casino it is a pleasant 2.4 kilometre walk along the river paths and over the casueway. You can also catch a bus into Perth City and disembark just after the Causeway and follow the river path upstream to Nelson Avenue. This is a 700 meter walk. The River will be on your right.
By Car - there is 3 hour paid parking available in Nelson Avenue during the week and free on Saturday mornings
