Kayaking is often likened to bushwalking on water and is an ideal way to conduct a trip or expedition. It gives a different perspective and the kayaks or canoes carry the gear. Water Wanderers has a great working relationship with a couple of Perth schools and love being involved in the pre-trip instruction and day and overnight trips.

If after paddling with Water Wanderers you have discovered how enjoyable paddling is and have found a new hobbie you should start developing your paddling skills. We highly recommend the Introductory Course run at Ascot Kayak Club.  They provide outstanding instruction in basic kayaking skills for 16+. The course is conducted over 4 Saturday mornings and costs $80.00 per person. All equipment is provided.

UOTS is a paddling community event that Water Wanderers co hosts with Paddle WA (state association for paddling). Our aim in the next 6 to 10 years is to set a world record for the largest raft of canoes, kayaks and skis. The event is evolving rapidly. In its 3rd year (2018) we rafted in front of Optus Stadium followed by an after party, with live music, food, coffee and prizes. The main highlight is being featured in an amazing drone video  by SkyworksWA
